"We have around 18 vacancies throughout Mexico, in Querétaro we have two, we are taking care of the landfill in the city of Querétaro and we also manage and operate the Aqueduct water purification plant. In other states and Mexico City we have various projects," he said, adding that they are looking for people with commitment and passion for what they do.

"The truth is that sometimes our areas are very demanding and perhaps they are subjects that not everyone likes, for example, the management and operation of industrial waste," he said. The main requirement, in addition to academic knowledge, is to be committed to the environment and to collaborate to prevent pollution, according to the human resources specialist. "We have to get married to the work that we are doing better management and that waste is not being wasted because we make solid fuel with that waste and sell it," Castillo said.

Talent development

Veolia develops its human talent through evaluations and rewards for performance and meeting environmental objectives.

"We also have a lot of integration activities, purposeful engagement, going along with what we are doing and at the same time generating wellbeing and still people developing more passion," Castillo said.
In conclusion, he mentioned that the expectation in the growth of the workforce will depend on the projects that the French company obtains, which currently corresponds to three to be developed during 2024.

"We are looking for a lot of projects and the more projects we get, the more we award projects, our workforce is increasing at the same rate. For example, we are now winning three projects to develop this year, we have some openings in Zapopan, Jalisco," he said.
