In order to expand its manufacturing operations in the state of Chihuahua, Safran Cabin announced a new stage for the company with an investment of 16.3 million dollars. The news was announced during the Paris Air Show 2023 Aerospace Fair by the company's CEO Jorge Ortega and the governor of Chihuahua, María Eugenia Campos, who was on a working tour.

With this investment, the world leader in the manufacture of aeronautical products contemplates the creation of 580 new jobs for the state, as well as the reactivation of its production in the country.

The French company informed that they will begin to migrate the manufacture of turbine parts for the Airbus A330neo airplane and will have an Engineering Center that will start this year with 50 specialists and with plans to grow up to 200 professionals in the area.

This center is key to the country's aerospace development, where they also plan to design the different configurations for the Boeing 737 and A350 models. The plant expects to manufacture 70 percent of the 737 MAX aircraft and 95 percent of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner model.

The Chihuahua plant is expected to start operations during the current summer to respond to the strong demand generated by the U.S. multinational Boeing.

In another matter, the company announced that it will also expand operations in Querétaro in the coming years with an investment of 80 million dollars and the generation of 800 new jobs.

The purpose of the investment is to house an aircraft engine test bench for the development and innovation of the aeronautical industry, and it is expected to be the most innovative in the world.

With this test bench called SAESA Testcell they will increase their testing capacity to meet the rapid growth of the engine fleet, which requires the creation of more jobs in the entity.
