Phoenix Contact will open a plant in Querétaro

The German company will manufacture connectors, cables and sensors.

With an investment of 60 million euros, the German company Phoenix Contact will set up a plant in Querétaro to manufacture connectors, cables and sensors.


Dirk Görlitzer, the company's director of operations, said that 700 new jobs will be created with this investment.


"Querétaro is one of the most important investments for Phoenix Contact. This year we will invest more than 60 million euros. We are on track to hire 700 people, and this is just the beginning because in the long term we are also interested in establishing design development activities. Phoenix Contact is on track to stay for years and decades," the executive mentioned.


Since 1923, Phoenix Contact has specialized in connection, handling and conversion technologies for digital and analogue signals, as well as process and production line automation. Phoenix Contact is committed to creating innovative products and solutions that pave the way for a sustainable and climate-neutral world.

During this announcement, made at the Hannover Messe trade fair, the state governor, Mauricio Kuri, thanked the German company for its decision to place its trust in Querétaro, while recognising Phoenix Contact's vocation to care for the environment.

"It is a huge company, a company that is working very hard on the issue of energy and electricity development," he said.

Worldwide operation

Phoenix Contact was founded in 1923 in Germany and currently has 21 employees worldwide and reported sales of 3.4 billion euros in 2023.

Device Connectors, Industrial Components and Electronics as well as Industry Management and Automation are the three main business areas of the Phoenix Contact Group.
