More investments arrive in Guanajuato
Okita and Suminoe ratify their commitment to the entity
Guanajuato is looking for more investments, and that is why, during his visit to Japan, Governor Diego Sinhue managed to make more investments. In this case, it is the company Okita Iron Works, specialized in the production of bearings, which announced an investment of around 40 million dollars.
“Okita's presence within the supply chain and supplier of the automotive industry in Guanajuato fills us with pride for the quality of its products and services. This company will bring more jobs to Guanajuato families. We thank the Okita executives for their confidence in Guanajuato. We are sure that its presence in our state will be a great success," said the state president, pointing out that the company plans to generate more than 200 new direct jobs in the state.
Okita Iron Works began in 1963 and currently has a presence in Japan, China and Mexico. And Guanajuato was the first expansion destination for this company outside the East, after installing its plant in the municipality of Abasolo, where its managers decided to expand their investment, given the competitive advantages and the business ecosystem offered by the State, with a privileged location that facilitates the global market.
Suminoe investment
This large company that is dedicated to the manufacture of textiles for interiors, including aircraft and automotive industry, confirmed the expansion of its plant and will be investing around 19.5 million dollars, and generating 150 new jobs.
Suminoe Textile was founded in 1883 and is dedicated to the manufacture of interior textiles (carpets, curtains, wallpaper, floor materials, etc.), functional materials (electric carpet, deodorant related products, aircraft interior materials, etc. .) and interior design materials for vehicles and automobiles.
The automotive sector has been served since 1931, supplying carpet and seat upholstery to Ford and General Motors produced in Japan.
With these two investments, Guanajuato strengthens its automotive cluster and stands out as the ideal global investment destination.
