LS e-Mobility Solutions Inaugurates Industrial Plant

The company has chosen Durango for its operational headquarters

With an investment of $50 million, LS e-Mobility Solutions inaugurated its Industrial plant in Durango.
The new operational headquarter is located in the Durango Logistics and Industrial Center, from where they will manufacture components for electric batterie vehicles. It is noteworthy that the decision to establish their operational headquarters in Durango aims to serve the North American market, leveraging the nearshoring trend and the region's skilled workforce.

Seung Woo, CEO of LS e-Mobility Solutions Mexico, stated that this day marks the continuation of the company's presence in Durango, supported by the facilities and assistance provided by the state government. He added that the company recently entered into an agreement with Stellantis to produce electromechanical elements and automations for industrial mobility development and manufacturing, focusing on sustainability and cutting-edge technology.

Esteban Villegas, Governor of Durango, expressed gratitude to the executives of LS e-Mobility Solutions for believing in the advantages of the region. "We started discussions and quickly reached an agreement for their installation. They currently have 39 direct jobs and will reach over 100 direct jobs in the starting phase. We are reaching out other companies coming to Durango to increase capacity and generate more jobs," commented the state governor. It is estimated that the new headquarters will create around 120 direct jobs in the region.

LS e-Mobility Solutions stands out as a company from South Korea with extensive experience in the production of automotive electrical components, such as electric switches (RELAY) and battery disconnect units (BDU) for the electrical/automotive sector.
