The Norwegian company Kongsberg Automotive opens new facilities in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, marking a significant milestone for both the company and the state.

Having moved from other facilities also located in the region where it operated since 2018, the firm reinforces its confidence in Coahuila by continuing to choose it as the state in which it wishes to manufacture, recognising the advantages of its new location to continue growing in the North American automotive industry.

This new upgraded facility represents an expansion of more than 15,500 square meters and is equipped with advanced technology to support the manufacture of Flow Control Systems (FCS) products.

As well as raufoss couplings, high-performance hoses such as fluoro-comp, plus powertrain and battery electric vehicle (BEV) applications for commercial vehicles, it underscores its commitment to the growth and innovation of the industry in the region and the local economy.

» The company has more than 27 production sites worldwide.

Kongsberg Automotive president and CEO Linda Nyquist Evenrud said the new plant in Ramos Arizpe will not only strengthen the global presence, but also supports the ambitious plan to continue to double the Flow Control Systems business in North America over the next three years by increasing its market share with local Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Strategic location

The president confirmed that this new complex is strategically located near the Saltillo-Monclova highway, in the midst of major OEMs.

"This makes us a key player in the mobility industry in this region," Nyquist Evenrud added.

He finally mentioned that the opening of this new home consolidates the company's position as a global leader in innovative and sustainable mobility solutions, while underlining its continued commitment to growth and operational excellence.
