Hyundai Polytech expands

The company grows its presence in its Ramos Arizpe plant.

The government of Coahuila announced the expansion of Hyundai Polytech Mexico, which will invest 13 million dollars in its new plant. From the municipality of Ramos Arizpe, the company dedicated to the production of auto parts injection will be generating 300 new jobs. Kwang Shik Kim, Chairman of Hyundai Polytech, thanked Riquelme Solís for the help provided for the expansion.

"The construction of our second plant in Ramos Arizpe will be the cornerstone to ensure the competitiveness of the North American auto parts industry," said the company's executive.

In this regard, the Mayor of Ramos Arizpe, José María Morales Padilla, said that the expansion will strengthen the Automotive Cluster industry, which is becoming more consolidated every day in the Southeast Region of Coahuila.

» With the new plant, 300 new jobs will be created and the Automotive Cluster will be strengthened.

For his part, Miguel Angel Riquelme Solis, Governor of Coahuila, commented that one of the greatest attractions that Coahuila has for the decisions of the global industry is security, and that this will continue and will remain because it is the continuity of public policies that have been successful. It is worth mentioning that the start-up of Hyundai's expansion became the 40th investment project to be announced in the state of Coahuila.

Likewise, the President stated that he will deliver to the new government indicators that will allow to continue generating confidence, certainty and, above all, the arrival of greater investments to the five regions of the state. He also expressed his gratitude to each of the company's directors for their decision to expand operations in Ramos Arizpe.

"I will do my part in these remaining months of my government to further strengthen the indicators that have put Coahuila in the eye of the world, such as competitiveness, extraordinary labor force, labor stability and educational level, which until today has characterized us for having a skilled workforce that is recognized worldwide," said Riquelme Solis.

During the ceremony, the President highlighted that world-class companies have recommended Coahuila's workers, and that they have spoken for the state and have recognized the ability of the people of this state.

"Our commitment is to continue producing the workforce required by the global trend," said the state president, adding that: "For us, not only is the Free Trade Agreement with the United States and Canada important, but nearshoring is now a fundamental part of all our government actions in Coahuila".
